This statement is half true but half untrue. The tippmann A5 and 98 custom do indeed have different threads. But after the A5 tippmann made the X7 which has identical threads to that of an A5. Because of this a barrel with "Tippmann A5" threads, will fit on a tippmann x7, but will not fit on a tippmann 98 custom.
No, tippman uses 98 or a5 threads, mr1 has spyder threads.
No, it uses autococker threading. There are currently no barrel extenders with the A5/X7 threads.
On the ends of every barrel there are "threads" These are different for every series of guns. The Salvo marker has Tippmann threads therefore any Tippmann barrels can be use. Smart Parts also makes barrels for Tippmann markers. Actually the Project Salvo is a Tippmann 98 with a different body. It uses Tippmann 98 threads and any barrels that fits the 98 will fit the Salvo. The Salvo can use a A5 barrel if you add a 'A5 to 98′ adapter to convert the threads to the 98 style for your Salvo.
The tippmann A5 is supposed to be used in paintball.
It depends on the threads of the Apex barrel. If the threads are that of a autococker, A5, or spyder then no, it will not fit. Though if it does have Tippmann threads then by all means it will fit.
Yes, the standard barrel has A5/x7 threads, but you can order it with 98/Alpha black threads.
Thread count is a textile term. however The pro carbine has A5 barrel threads.
Yes, any size Co2 or air tank can be used with the A5 and every modern day, as long as it has the standard ASA threads.
The threads are Tippmann Barrel Threads
No, spyders use spyder threaded barrels, where tippmans use either 98 or A5/x7 threads.
No. the thread pattern is NOT the same
It uses a5/x7 threads but it has a slanted shell and would not fit normally. However an Apex barrel will work just fine.
