It will fit both of them.
Yes, the 98 threaded Flatline Barrel will fit the Alpha black.
No it will not.
yes my 98c flatline works fine on mt AB, but the flatline cover doesnt fit cuz of the carrying handle lol. you can also buy barrel adaptors for things loke spyder barrels, or dye. and i think smart parts works on all guns but im not sure about that one
This statement is half true but half untrue. The tippmann A5 and 98 custom do indeed have different threads. But after the A5 tippmann made the X7 which has identical threads to that of an A5. Because of this a barrel with "Tippmann A5" threads, will fit on a tippmann x7, but will not fit on a tippmann 98 custom.
Sadly no. On the end of the barrel are the threads, and as one could see the threads on the end of a Tippmann barrel are thick. Spyder threads are much thinner.
No it will not. the Handguard on the barrel is in the way of the handguard on the shroud.
It depends on the threads of the Apex barrel. If the threads are that of a autococker, A5, or spyder then no, it will not fit. Though if it does have Tippmann threads then by all means it will fit.
Yes, all 98 threaded barrels fit: model 98 98 custom alpha black/ bravo one project salvo/ tango one carver one They will NOT fit: tippmann A5 Tippmann X7/ phenom TPX pistol tippmann prolite spyders or any other companies
Yes, they both use 98 threads.
The Tippmann flatline barrel is used to increase the distance a ball travels by putting backspin on it. In doing so it also sacrifices accuracy and is tough on paint. It is a good tool to have for a mid to long range woods player who uses medium or low quality paint. For tournament, "sniper" and close play it is fairly useless, however. The best barrels are any two piece barrels that fit your paint the way you want (over or under-bore) and come with kits and interchangeable bore sizes like the Sly and freak kits.
Yes, the standard barrel has A5/x7 threads, but you can order it with 98/Alpha black threads.
