12 isn't a good time to be comparing bench presses. At the early adolescent stages, growth and strength varies greatly between individuals. However, anything above 80 pounds is highly impressive at this age.

i think that he should start off with 100 lbs but in the end, he should be able to bench 200. some where near his weight.
