it greatly depends on there weight and if they have lifted in the past but i would say 1 to 3 reps i was doing 8 to 10 reps when i was in 8th grade
It all depends on the person. If they are an athlete who has been training for awhile, they could probably do a few. If they are a normal kid who doesn't play any sports they probably can't do it once. I know guys in high school that can't do it once, but they don't play sports. Even an athlete in 8th grade may not be able to do it because many kids won't start training with weights until high school. So for the stud Middle school athlete, yeah they could probably throw up a few reps. For an average kid, probably not.
