Monster Mesh and Hard Mesh. Do not use soft mesh cause it can rip easily.
I am an attack/mid and I use Canadian hard mesh it has great ball hold and control plus I've had mine for a year and a half
Men's lacrosse heads can be strung a variety of ways. A men's lacrosse head is usually strung with 10 diamond hard mesh. A woman's lacrosse head is strung in a way called traditional. This type of stringing is required for regulation women's lacrosse. Men's heads can be strung traditional as well as long as the pocket meets the level of regulations such as NFHS or NCAA. Women's lacrosse heads have the ability to be strung with mesh, though it will not meet women's game regulations.
yes, in the collegiate league you may use traditional stringing
You use nylon strings called sidewall and tie knots and loops to string the mesh into the head.
i would say 10 diamond mesh... just the regular. But when it comes to hard, soft, or semi-hard mesh it all depends on what you like and your skill level. Soft mesh is usually used for better cradling because it moves with the ball, and hard mesh is usually used for quick and fast release. hope this helped :)
For a traditional pocket, they have no use in a mesh pocket unless it is an open sidewall goalie stick.
First, you get the pocket to the desired depth, then you spray it with hairspray. Use a hairdryer to dry it quickly than put the whole head in a freezer for 20-30 mins. this makes the mesh stiff. then leave it for about 1 hour to get used to the warmer temperature, then have fun with your new pocket! Enjoy.
Some of the best workout clothes comes from the company Nike. They are great to work out in because they use a mesh type material which lets your body breathe as it works out.
First of all, it's called mesh. all you have to do is take out the shooting strings (the things that look like thick shoelaces) and use dishwashing detergent or soap
if the weather is rain which i think is pretty much the only way to ruin lacrosse mesh besides leaving it in the sun to long..i dont think there is a way to make the mesh waterproof unless there is somekind of spray or something. but after the mesh gets wet put a small towel or newspaper inside of the head to absorb water. also there is waterproof pockets you can put in your head. one is called a rock-it pocket and there website is http://rock-itpocket.com/ (if you want to look) and you can send your head into them and they will string your head for $50 which is kind of expensive but that is waterproof and it makes you shoot faster. also if you go into your local lacrosse store you can ask for a pocket called a traditional pocket and that is also waterproof. both of those type of pockets are not mesh though. they are i think leather and elastic or something like that. they take a bit to get used to too. hopefully that helps!
You use RIT dye, that can be purchased at any local drugstore, supermarket, hardware store or arts and crafts store.
