I am an attack/mid and I use Canadian hard mesh it has great ball hold and control plus I've had mine for a year and a half
it depends on the type of stick you get and the type of brand you get.
Im a midfield and i perfer 6-diamonds stringing but its really up to what you want to do and your position.
