It depends on how well you do in the class. For people who start at a younger age, the rule is usually that she has to be atleat 10 years old to start pointe. That way her feet are fully developed and are strong enough. But if you're starting later, it depends on how strong you are and when the teacher decides that you are ready to do pointe.
They are so so so much different. Ballet is very formal and you have to point your feet and have proper technique. Hip hop is what is referred to street dancing. I take both hip hop and ballet
The difference can be the way you dance. Usually ballet is about the technique more than anything else. Jazz is about the flow of movement to movement and how it all looks together. There are also diffrent because of there shoes. In ballet there are ballet shoes and ballet point shoes. In jazz there are jazz shoes. Ballet and Jazz both are great fun. I am in both. They both have the same diciplene which for any dancing of dance team has a lot of diciplene. Hope this helps you!
The step point dance is a traditional Irish jig dance. It also is seen occasionally in ball room and ballet dancing.
Level 5 in ballet is a advanced level you can get stronger in. In ballet 1 you learn the basics. In ballet 2 you learn more steps but still not to advanced. In ballet 3 you learn some more steps and get a little more advanced. In ballet 4 you get stronger and more steps and at that point your feet get stronger and when your feet are strong enough your teacher decides if you go up on pointe or not yet. After 3 or 4 years in ballet 4 you go to ballet 5. ballet 5 is a very advanced class and is the highest level you can get to!
I do not think you can. There are so many things you can learn. All the words used in ballet are french so you would need to learn those words. You need to be able to point out the details used in ballet. For example, in jazz, when you do a pirohuette turn, your leg by your knee is parallel and in ballet it is turned out. In ballet you all ways use opposites too. Also, you need to learn all the positions. When you do a performance, you don't always smile too. So you probally could not teach yourself ballet.
Many ballet historians consider the greatest change to ballet during the Romantic Era was the development of the technique called "En Pointe" or "On the point". This training technique emphasized dancers dancing on the point of their foot and the development of special "Point shoes" to aid in this technique.

It depends. Usually 2-3 years of ballet training unless you learn fast. Ask your instructor. :)

a lot of mucscles are used like your tummy, your thighs, your legs, your feet (when you point your toes!) (p.s. I have been dancing since I was 3 and I going to do pointe this summer.)
Usually around the ages 11-14. Although if you have not done any ballet you will need to do at least a year, if not two, before going en pointe. Also age is not the only factor. Strength of the ankles and technique are both important factors.
I think that male ballet dancers CAN go on point. I know that females can. So why not men?
