No, I do not recommend using regular track shoes to throw the javelin. Javelin spikes have spikes in the heel as well as the front, so you can plant your block leg without slipping.
Generally speaking javelin spike shoes are a heavier shoe. This allows for the much longer spikes. However, some athletes do wear there "regular" spike shoes and purchase a "jav heel" to add the extra much needed spikes in the heels.
it depends on the shoe...track spikes cannot.
Yes, you will need different track shoes and cleats/spikes for different events. The number of spikes, the pattern of spikes and the length of the spikes differs for sprinters, long distance runners and jumpers. If spikes are not used for running the shoes are still different. And throwing shoes do not have spikes and have a smooth sole.
Track Spikes help you reach your maximum speed by creating more traction but it isn't a BIG BIG difference. I used my regular nike running shoes at a meet and still won first place even though everyone else was wearing spikes.
yes, they do.
No it can not because at the bottom of the shoes it's soft and it will slow you down so track spikes is best for you
Yes you can run in track shoes without the spikes but, I think that you should have spikes at the bottom of your track shoes because if you have the spikes then you can run faster than you would without them. Track and Field athletes that run during the indoor season run with studs, also known as blanks, in their shoes so as to not ruin the shoe or the track. They still choose to wear their spike shoes do to the lightweight nature of the shoe and the fact that they are accustomed to running in them. However, it is not recommended to wear stud/blanks on outdoor tracks.
never wash your track shoes they will get messed up. Wash them by hand instead. Also don't put them into the drier either. the heat from the drier will melt your shoes.
Adolf Dassler did 1920 for track and field. He is better known for the German shoe brand of Adidas
Its a bad idea. You wouldn't be any faster then with normal shoes the spikes are to small to get grip. Just designed to penitrate rubbery track surface with little effect. Use on grass could break the spikes. Trust me just use cleats. There are special spike shoes used for grass that javelin throwers use. The spikes can be as long as 1". They are designed to grip the slippery surface of grass/mud. However, they are not designed for the 100m dash.
There are several options for purchasing track training shoes with spikes. Some of the brands that sell these shoes are Nike, Adidas and ASICS. These shoes have a wide range of prices so one can choose the brand and price that best suits their needs.
it helps you very well because when you are running you are tyring to stay ahead of everybody so you will win so while you run the spikes grab more ground as you run so you can keep a good pace. Also when the track is wet you can't holly run on the track because the ground is to slippery so the track spikes will help you through wet weather.
