In high jump competitions, there are no "knockdowns" as the term is commonly understood in other sports like boxing or football. Instead, athletes are allowed three failed attempts at each height. If they fail all three attempts at a given height, they are eliminated from that round. The goal is to clear the bar without knocking it down, as any contact that causes the bar to fall results in a failed attempt.
Jump high
One that is specified for a particular event, generally explained by an official on the day of the competition.
Jump under it
I used to be in both high jump and long jump. Although I dropped out of long jump, I know for a fact that no matter how many competitors are there to participate, each participant gets up to 4 jumps. They can choose to use them all or only take one, two, or just three of the four they have.
It depends on its environment and how many protein shakes it had previously consumed.
