Ice Hockey has changed in many ways since it first began in 1875. The sport is now played in every Winter Olympics. It is a sport that many countries around the world play. There are now professional leagues in the United States and around the world. Player safety has improved with the mandate of helmets, visors, and in some cases full face cages. Even men and women who are disabled can participate in ice hockey in a game called sled hockey.
