it just means lifting weights that is not on a machine like using a curl bar
lots and lots of sit-ups and i mean hundreds
A derrick is a kind of crane for lifting heavy weights. Usually found on ships.
Anything you want to do..but if you mean for exercise then you could always do sports. You can run or swim or ride a bike. Lifting weights is about the only way you are going to get bigger though (i mean muscle mass, not skeletal size)
Just because you can impress a girl by lifting weights does not mean that she likes you or wants to date you. You probably just impressed her but other things about you might discourage her from liking you.
i may be wrong but i think it means that they are working out at the gym lifting weights to make their muscles bigger and stronger....getting beefed up.....beefing together...what do you think?
No it does not. That is a myth. Correctly performed weight training will not stunt your growth. However, that does not mean that it is advisable before the age of about 16. In addition, young people should be supervised to minimize the risk of injury.
Caustic can mean sarcastic or scathing or it can mean able to burn organic tissue by chemical reaction. The solution was caustic enough to burn through clothing. Her caustic comments made the other girl feel bad.
this means your not breathing properly while working out, which means oxygen isn't getting to your brain, this could cause a headache or even cause you to pass out
It wouldn't ever be 100% safe but by starting with smaller weights that you might find easy to build up muscular endurance and strength. Increasing slowly will mean that you reduce the risk while hypertrophy still occurs. Ensure you are doing everything, and that means absoloutely everything with correct technique, lifting with a straight back and not exceeding what you feel capable of.
Yes, it can also permenantly stop growth. I would advise you be sensible when training at younger ages. I have answered this question presuming by "growth" you mean height. DR B.M SEARCHER
no. it in fact encourages growth. i started training when i was 16 and actually got taller as a result. even when i was 11 i lifted weights sometimes and i was still the tallest kid in my grade. still am :)
