Aerobic Endurance is when the heart and lungs must provide oxygen to the muscles in order to be performed for long periods of time. In other words the amount of oxygen you body receives whilst playing the game.
You need this mainly to run around for the full four quarters of the game but you also need good muscular endurance to be able to keep up with your offender (if playing defense and to make strategic game play. Such as braking away from a defender to make a screen or being able to keep opposing players out of the key area.
So you won't get too tired to play before the game is over. It is a very physically demanding game.
In my opinion, you need strength to get rebounds, box out, and to be aggressive.
becasue you would need a good workout before you can play Basketball this involves sidestepping (ect ect). and if you don't stretch off you will feel all shaky when your in the zone
if someones barges into them, it wouldn't really hurt them. that why they use Muscular endurance.

a footballer will need aerobic endurance because: a match lasts 90minutes and they will need to be active for much of his time. they need to be able to perform at a high level for the whole match. many injuries occur when a footballer gets tired- therefore they need good levels for aerobic endurance to reduce the possibility of an injury.
