Diet affects sport performance because of how different foods affect your body. For instance, if you eat healthy food your body will be healthy, allowing you to perform better in sports. If you eat unhealthy foods your body will be handicapped, because it is not in prime condition.

∙ 12y agoit decreases optimum preformance u wont have the right amount of energy and also may not be hydrated enuff to play or preforme at peak level ultamitly you will burn out quicker you wont be able to train properly so u also wont beable to practice the skills you need there four lower preformance also you wont have enuff protein to reguvenat your musels among other things carbs etc

diet can improve the performance of a sportsman, by making you feel better and keeping you in shape for which ever sport is chosen; you also need to make sure you eat enough food with energy/carbohydrates so you have enough to burn of, as if you don't have enough to burn it could effect your health and your performance.
