at my own pace
pace yourself throughout the race and only overtake a few people at a time. try to get to the front of the pack and pace yourself the same as the leader and pull ahead at the last 50 meters. Pace yourself nicely, then sprint at the end. Pass anyone you can. You can also go at a nice pace and pass as many people as you can. When your at a spot that you like, listen for footsteps behind you. When you hear someone, speed up.
It depends on how long the race is and how fast you are. Some people finished a cross country in 1 minute or 2. It all depends on the person, I have been in cross-country for two years and my best time for a 3k is 14:19. It depends how much you are in shape, and how fast you can go. But if you do a meet, just keep a good pace, don't push yourself to much.
it is good to be running a 22-25 minute race, considering it is 3 miles long
I'll need to step up the pace a bit if I am to win this race. Pace yourself, youngster!
What is the first letter of a five letter word meaning "pace"?
If you don't pace yourself, you will get tired near the end of your race. Those who do pace themselves will have more energy at the end and will pass you up. Only pace yourself in 200s and longer. If you are capable of sprinting a 200 then you do not need to pace.
Study, pace yourself, and relax.
You should do cardio, like running or cross trainer, anything to keep your heart-rate up around 150-(if you are in your twenties) 155-(younger) 140-(thirties) for approximately 30 minutes. Pace yourself then each exercise push the pace alittle faster.
That depends ..... for high school girls (i know this cause i run cross country) i guess the average would be like 7:30 a mile. for guys, the average pace is like 6:30 a mile ... i think. I'm a girl so yeah.
A cross country race is when a number of competetors compete in a long distance race that might be running or something else. If you want to win the race you must train hard. It requires endurance and lots of stamina. A cross country race is kind of like a marathon. The race might last atleast a half an hour to about 45 minutes. Cross-country is a running sport, it's all about endurance. Cross-country has 3k's, 5k's and 10k's. It has other k's too, but those three are the most usual. Cross-country doesn't have just the simple track. It can have hills, dirt, mud, gravel, anything. You have to be very much in shape, and know how to keep a good pace. 3k's is 1.8 miles, 5k's are 3.1 miles, and 10k's are 6.2 miles.
In college cross country most races are 8k (or 5 miles). The winning time at the Ivy League championships last year was 23:28, or an average pace of 4:44 for 5 miles. I'd say the "average" time is anything under 25:00, or under 5:00/mile
you set the pace yourself.
