I always remember Wibby - he played for Shirebrook Summit and one particular day he went on a mazey dribble, first blocking the ball on his own line, before beating possibly every player from the opposition, ending his run with the most sublime finish ever. The pitches in Sunday league football are almost unplayable in Winter, so how he managed to keep balance and control must be down to the players ability.

Nice sentimental story, but it has to be garrincha. He didn't have the same finishing or poacher's mentality as pele, but he was the more beautiful football player. He could send a defender to the floor without even touching the ball other players respected his touch so much.
