Ya!! Your coach may make you do laps to get in shape and to be a blocker you use your thighs, calves and your arms to jump and block the net. Serving gets your arms in shape and to be a libero or a bumper you use your arms and thighs. Competitive involves laps and stretches that can help build up muscle and burn a lot of calories. It really depends on the kind of volleyball you are in.

Anyhing that keeps you moving is good for your health! But of course, if you don't do anything and just watch, then it's not doing anthing, but if you move it's good. If you're breathing faster, it means you're working hard!
