It is 60 feet from home to first on a softball field. It is the same distance between all the bases. The pitcher's mound is 40 to 43 feet way depending on the level of competition. The depth of the outfield varies from field to field.
Softball Field LayoutA softball field is the same as a baseball field. They're practically the same sport. They have a few minor differences like how they pitch and how big the ball is, but they're almost the same. The fields are different because unlike a baseball field, a softball field has no grass in the infield. the softball field mound will be closer than a baseball field mound.the softball field is in a diamond shape with 3bases and a home plate at the corner inside the diamond is all sand and behind the bases there is also some sand after the sand there is an outfield which is all grass.there is also 2 fowl line that go from the left and right side corners of the home plate to the fence in the outfield (usually).-k1956
The difference from home plate to the foul posts on each field vary. Some fences are farther away, some fences are higher. In some cases, the fences in right field are much closer than the fence in left, or vice versa. It all depends on the specific field you are playing on.

There are a total of 9 positions for softball. You have your catcher who is behing home plate, the pitcher, 1st base, 2nd base, 3rd base, shortstop ; who is in between 2nd and 3rd, then you have right field ; behind first base, center field ; behind 2nd base and left field behind 3rd base. Hope that helped :)
That expression came about around 1947, and is related to America's great pastime, baseball. "Left field" is the left side of a baseball field, looking out from home plate. David Wilton states that the expression probably came into being from the idea that a ball fielded from left field was unlikely to be thrown to home plate in time to put a runner out. [Link below.]
It really depends on the stadium, most are 310-330 down the lines and 400ft or more to center.
if you are talking about baseball or softball the outfield is the grass part behind the bases. There are 3 positions out there. Right field, Left field, and Center field.
Softball is a derivative of baseball, so it helps if you've played that sport. Slow pitch softball is far easier for a beginner than fast pitch, both from hitting and defensive perspectives. If you're a novice to softball, the easiest positions to play are on the right side of the field: first base, second base and right field. If you're an inexperienced player, avoid playing the left side of the infield where balls tend to come on the fielder faster and more often. Also avoid pitching. In softball, the pitcher is only 45 ft from home plate, balls tend to get hit up the middle often and reaction times need to be lightning quick.
it depends if the ball is hit the left side and the play is going to second or third the shortstop is the cutoff. if the ball is hit to the right side and the play is going to second or third the second baseman is. If the play is going HOME the first baseman is the cut off. For the left , center and right fielder.
There is no true answer to this. It depends on the particular field.
When the original Yankee Stadium opened on April 18, 1923, the measurements were, 296 feet to the left field pole, 301 to right and 461 feet to the deepest part of the park, in left-center. The playing field was not evenly balanced, so dead center was not the deepest part. After it was re-modeled in 1974-75, it measured 310 to right, 312 to left and 430 to the deepest part in left-center.
