it depends if the ball is hit the left side and the play is going to second or third the shortstop is the cutoff. if the ball is hit to the right side and the play is going to second or third the second baseman is. If the play is going HOME the first baseman is the cut off. For the left , center and right fielder.

It depends where it was hit. I just answered another question similar to this haha.

If it was hit deep in right field, it should go from right to 1st to home, but if it were hit in left field it should go left to short and then to home.

*Pitcher should be behind home plate if the ball is mis-thrown.
