An ambiguous question. Posts of the same goal or posts from opposite goals?

The distance between the goal posts is officially 7 yards; so that is 21 feet. In metric that is 6.4 metres. The width of the goal posts themselves is not official, so this might vary; but the rule states that at lest the bottom 2 metres of each post must be padded as protection. In some grounds, the base of the posts can be even 8 or 9 inches thick due to the padding.
Soccer goal posts are 8 yards apart. Someone else care to document distance between American football posts?

There are three goal posts on each side of the quidditch field so there are six goal posts altogether on the quidditch field.
6.4 Metres.
The distance between the two goal lost uprights is 5.4 metres. The height from ground to cross bar (top of the rail) must be 3 metres . From the top of the cross bar to the top of the two uprights must be 3.4 metres.When padding is attached to the goal posts the distance from the goal line to the external edge of the padding must not exceed 300mm
The goal posts are placed eight yards apart at the center of each end of the field. I hope this answers my question
The lower post is 10 feet tall and placed approximately 80 feet from the sidelines. The crossbar, which is 18 feet, 6 inches in length, sits atop the post. The uprights extend 30 feet above the crossbar.
It is the line on the ground between the goal posts. If the ball crosses it, a goal has been scored.
