In Basketball the ball on a foul shot the ball must hit the rim or another player before the man throwing the ball can touch it. That is the Wilt Chamberlain rule. He would throw the ball against the backboard, catch it, and throw it in for 2 points. That is not permitted any more.
The shooter has to wait for the ball to touch the rim.
front the backboard, not the rim.
Under their goal.
i think it would be considered a foul
in basketball you get foul shots when your shooting and someone on the other team makes contact with your body
If no one touched it when the buzzer hit, yes
A foul shot is a shot that a player is granted if he/she is fouled while shooting the ball
When shooting free throws, the distance is measured from the foul line to the base of the backboard. In the case of 3-pointers, the shortest distance is measured...depending on where the ball is shot from. If you shoot from the corner, the distance is measured to the side of the rim. If you shoot from the top of the 3 point arc, the distance is measured to the front of the rim.
It is when you make a foul shot so that you can take a second foul shot.
No because when the ball does not touch the rim it isn't a rebound its just that the person is catching the ball not rebounding it .rebounding is when some one shoots and it bounces of the rim then u catch it then its a rebound
A foul shot equals one point.
A foul shot is a shot that a player is granted if he/she is fouled while shooting the ball. It is shot from the freethrow line. If the player made his/her shot, then they get one, if he/she missed they get two, and if they are fouled while shooting a three-pointer, they get three freethrows, or foul shots
