Try jiff, but I am not sure if that will work.
Pointe is the art of dancing on the tip of your toes. It is done by using Pointe shoes, which have Pointe ribbons which support the dancers ankles and also the shoes have plaster of Paris in the toes to suppourt her feet. En Pointe takes years of work (as you can guess, I haven't mastered this yet!) ;)
It takes a long time to get to be strong enough for a girl to start pointe. It took me ten years. This past fall was my first year on pointe; i didn't even where my pointe shoes for my recital because i am still not strong enough. it takes time and patience.
Soft Leather, Canvas or Satin shoes-Can be used to dance on demi-pointe.Pointe Shoes-Can be used to dance 'En Pointe'. The full body weight is put on the toes, to be able to dance on them well, takes many years of intense training. The weight has to be 'put over' the feet.
Massage them everyday, this may sound weird but it is a great technique. Step on the toe part of the shoe, not too hard or you may break them. Also keep bending them back and forth. Have fun pointe-ting !
Ballerina's use what are called pointe shoes. They have a hard bottom and a hard sole which is called a shank. They put toe pads on the end of their toes which are made from wool or sometimes a gel material. It takes a lot of control, strength, and experience to do so.

Depending on the studio you're at, pre-pointe is either preparing your body physically for pointe using regular shoes, or using Demi Pointe shoes. Pointe Prep is to strenghten your ankles, and body. It is the time for teachers to corect sickleing, how you hold yourself, ETC. It usally takes a year to go through pointe prep, (I know because I've been through it myself, I am on pointe) but somtimes it takes longer or shorter. Usually if you haven't gone through your big growthspirt yet you may not get your pointe shoes as soon as you like becasue the teachers don't want you to go through one and end up hurting yourself whenyou are on pointe

The process of producing pointe shoes takes years of professional training. It is not something that may be done by an amateur.
It is supposed to make the dancers look like they are ethereal because they look like they are floating... and also, taller women are more difficult to partner, and also, technique and artistry are usually considered more than height...

I think you mean "Pointe Shoes". And it depends. You're foot must be almost done growing in order to start wearing pointe shoes so that you feet don't get deformed. Also, you ankles must be very strong... strong enough to hold your whole body weight on 2 or 3 toes. 2 years is not an acceptable amount of time. it takes 5 of 6 years even with proper training. Some girls take as long as 8+ years.
