I have found since I started doing this in September in a few months I have seen a huge change in my body, my legs are more muscular and my biceps are really toned as well as the fact that my abs are flat (! for me!) If you are female, pointe really makes a difference to your body as to keep yourself up there you use your whole body. Pointe helps strengthen your legs but makes a huge difference to your core also.
