some people say yes and some people say no.. in Basketball yes, in football yes, in tennis my opinion is no. tenis is more about how you move about the court, your skill, strategy, and your energy level.

The International Tennis Federation site states that a net shall be suspended by a cord or metal cable which shall pass over or be attached to two net posts at a height of 3 ½ feet (1.07 m). The height of the net shall be 3 feet (0.914 m) at the centre.
To an extent, height will matter. It will give you an advantage, but a huge height is not required. Skill is the most important thing to a basketball player. Nate Robinson and Spud Webb are great examples. They are both under 5'10" and they seemed to do fine in their NBA careers.
Tennis on NBC was created in 1955.

A decrease in height of the inclined plane will result in a lower mechanical advantage. Mechanical advantage is calculated as the ratio of the length of the inclined plane to the vertical height. Therefore, as the height decreases, this ratio decreases, leading to a lower mechanical advantage.
