Time of 38 minutes 42.69 seconds.
33:29 official time in Canberra Times fun run 2012. Distance is an official race distance for race. Joshua was 13 years old. A good time for a 13-14 would be sub 40 minutes, 37 mins would be brilliant.
It's perfectly OK to walk in most 10k races (although more people will be running than walking), especially if the race is titled "10k run/walk." However, if it's specifically called a "10k run," you might want to email the race organizers and ask if it's OK to walk. Sometimes a race has a "5k run/walk" and a "10k run," meaning that you can run and/or walk in the 5k but can only run in the 10k. Basically, it's most likely that walking is totally fine. It's not like they can disqualify you for walking, anyway.
A 10k run is approximately 10,000 meters in distance.
Secretariat holds the record for the fastest Kentucky Derby time, running the race in 1:59 2/5 in 1973.
The world record for a 10K run is 30:29. It was set by Asmae Leghzaoui in a NYC race on June 8, 2002. Ironically, Leghzaoui also set the record for a 8K with a time of 24:28 the following month in a race in Tennessee.

A 10K run is 10 kilometers long, which is the equivalent of 6.2 miles. It's double the distance of a 5K, which is another popular race distance. If you've never run a race before, a 5K race is a good introduction to road racing for beginners.
I think it refers to kilometers, there are 10 kilometers (6.2) miles to be run in a 10k race. or it refers to 10,000 (k=1,000)
As of October 2014 the fasted ten mile race was run by Haile Gebrselassie. The race was run in only 44 minutes and 24 seconds.
It may be: the number 10,000; 10k run which is a common running race distance; 10k Plan which was aimed to attract 10,000 new residents to Oakland and was created by Jerry Brown.
Age doesn't make any difference; as long as you know how to walk and your parents let you run, you can participate in most 10k's.
