"fog horn" It depends on the arena. A lot of the stadiums actually use a Leslie or Nathan train horn. Kahlenberg air horns are also popular. The KPH-130C "Triton" is a horn a lot of Great Lakes/Ocean going freighters use and also have found their way into arenas. Taffy Abel Arena where Lake Superior State University plays has a Leslie Tyfon off a Great Lakes freighter. Back in the 80's a lot of arenas had police car sirens.
