The answer is no my friend. At least for me and for the people that I know. We all want to skip the Treadmill or step climber or whatever cardio machines out there and jump straight to weight lifting because we think that lifting weights is already going to make us sweat and raise our heart rate. But the thing is if you have body fat for example a belly fat which where most of us have it, then doing ab exercises and lifting weights is not going to help you getting that six pack. The layer of fat is covering the muscles or hiding the muscles behind it, so If you don’t do cardio to target the overall body fat (because you can never target fat in one area) you’re not going to lose fat therefore you won’t be getting the six packs that you want. In conclusion, weight lifting isn’t enough to burn fat, you need to associate it with cardio.
