I t depends how fit you are. I consider myself to be somewhat fit and i did a 5K race last year in 24:43. The other day I ran 3 miles in 22:29 which is alot better from last year. So to answer your question i would say anything under 26 min would be decent.
20 minutes is an average tome for a 5k race.
30-40 minutes
Around 30 mins.
I did my first 5k today in 34mins.
guys: about 16:00 girls: about 22:00
im 12 and a rugby player hooker quite fit and i got 23 mins 33 seconds
Five kilometers is equivalent to approximately 3.1 miles. An average time for an novice athlete to run a 5k would be thirty minutes (approximately ten minutes per mile).
About 30-40 minutes (10-13 min/mile) is pretty much average for a runner over age 40.
25 minutes for a new freshman runner. In comparison, a 15 minute high school 5k would be close to winning the state competition. It really depends on the person, because running is such a personal and self-based sport. You don't compare yourself to other's times as much as you compare your time in a particular race to your own average time.
my fastest time is (im eleven) 25 mins and 22 secs. but the average time(for an adult) is between 30-40 mins. :)
I've been running 5k for around 6 eweks now (previously unable to run full 5k). I started out at 42 mins but now running 5k in 36.04. I'm still about 30 pounds over my desired weight so hope to improve further. Hope this helps.
If you're talking about the actual time it takes to physically run a 5k (and not how long it would take to train for one), it's about 30 minutes. 5k is around 3.1 miles, so if you average 10 minutes per mile, it's 30 minutes total.
