fastest kick in karate is the roundhouse kick. it can be repeated, so you can deliver several kicks in one second.
To begin, you simply need to have the ability to move. As you progress in your training, you will get in better fitness and more flexibility. My style does not require you be very flexible and would never require you to kick above waist high. In some styles they want you to be able to kick very high over your head (necessary for combats) and have a healthy hearth because in karate you have to do cardio exercises.
The techniques vary from style to style. In general, the goal is to redirect rather than stop a punch or kick. By deflecting the power to the side, there is less force needed.
You use it in Sparring.
The technique will vary a bit depending on the style, but the basic back kick is to bring up the heel to knee level and thrust out behind you with it, the heel being the contact point. It is a very powerful kick, using the largest muscle in the body, the gluteous maximus.
you have to buy the move off the karate man
