There is really no such thing as an "average". Some guys have more muscle mass than others, allowing for more weight to be moved. Some guys spend hours in the gym each week to build their capacity. Most muscle mass and strength is achieved from late teens through late twenties. As your age increases, your capacity to build and tone muscle decreases. Regardless of size or strength, genetics is the primary key to what you can achieve. Proper diet and natural supplements can help but short of illegal steroids, your genetics are going to determine how large and strong you can get.
