Take classes. FInd an instructor. Stretch every day and build muscle which will help also. Dont try anything without proper training or you could seriously get hurt.

No. As of May 8th, 2014 you aren't required to tuck in shirts.
In rugby you have to, in football you don't but fussy refs might tell you to.
There are several resources that can teach a person how to do a standing back tuck. A person can learn by watching videos on YouTube. A person can also learn by training with a coach at a gymnastics center such as Metro Gymnastics.

um, a back tuck is pretty much a necessary in gymnastics. there really isn't a level that involves back tucks. i mean, if you're just starting gymnastics, then a back flip won't come till later. but if you're Shawn Johnson or nastia liukin or some olympian, back tucks are pretty much the easiest thing. or if you're just an AMAZINGGG gymnast, back tucks should be very easy.
Tumbling in gymnastics is basically doing a bunch of gymnastics moves one after the other in a TUMBLE ROLL. For example: Carwheel, roundoff, Back handspring, back handspring, back tuck. BUt, it can go on longer or shorter than that :)
