If there was one out. no run can score on a force out?
If no outs, I believe the run scores.....
No, any type of interference is against the rule. It is similar to a pitcher unintentionally hitting a batter. As it is true that the interference does not have to be intentional, there are occasions where there might be "interference" that is not called as such. i.e If a batter takes a pitch and a runner is stealing a base, if the catcher throws the ball and hits the batter or his bat, while the batter is still standing in the box, this is not called interference
batters interference
The only one i can think of is miguel cabrera who hit a home run while being intentionaly walked but im sure there are more
Batter's interference is when the batter interferes with the catcher's ability to throw and catch a ball that is in play. An example of this is if the batter were to obstruct the catcher when a teammate is stealing a base, resulting in the catcher's inability to throw out the runner.
True. While it seems logical that the batter-runner and the runner who is to be played on for completion of the double play should be called out, the rules of baseball state that in this case the batter-runner and runner closest to home are called out. A dead ball should be called and any other runners are sent back to the last base they legally obtained.
the ball is not dead on ball four its still alive the runner at first is going to second. so im not sure how the question should be answerd the way your looking for it to be.
If the batter remains in the batters box he is not required to move. In some instances it might be best not to move, as if you do move and then interfer with the catcher or the throw, you will be called for interference
Easy, if in multiple innings. They could get nine straight out. If you mean in one inning, i do not believe its possible. Even with bases loaded when the last out is made, it would still only be a total of six batters. Hope i helped
Yes, that would be possible with four consecutive walks where the batter did not swing at a pitch or four consecutive hit batters where the batter did not swing or a combination of the two.
10 batters all
