Renault has been associated with formula one as an engine supplier since the 1970's but they never had a team of their own. In the year 2000, Renault acquired the Benetton team and that was their entry into formula one. In the year 2002, the team as renamed Renault F1 and that was their first ever formula one season. The 2002 Australian Grand Prix was the first ever race for the Renault F1 Team.
If 1950 was the first year, then 2009 is the 60th year!
The first championship race was held in 1950 at Silverstone. This was not the first race held to be held under (International) Formula 1 rules technically but it was the first world championship race.

He didn't win any in his first year in formula 1. However, he could of won monaco but the race was halted because of rain. If this hadn't of happened, senna would of won
