Travel is more competitive than rec. Rec season also consists of 1 game per every few days or once a week. Travel will compete in tournaments which will only last 1 to 2 days, but have up to 8 games in a day! 8 being probably the most. So to answer your question, the only difference would be the level of competition. BTW I ♥ TRAVEL SOFTBALL!
