In general, Spyder's "Walmart" series are not that well built. They tend to be worse at performance and durability than even their "clone" counterparts. A much better alternatives are the Azodin blitz and Smart Parts Vibe, which cost slightly more, but will perform much better.

∙ 13y agoThe Spyder sonix is "good" if you need only to play for a few months. It is cheap, and it shoots, but it is stripped to the bone to be as cheap as possible, sacrificing longevity, accuracy, and overall performance. Some slightly more expensive, but better performing alternatives are the Azodin Kaos or the Auto-cocker Trilogy Sport markers.

∙ 13y agoThat depends on the gun but if you want to make sure you get a good one i would buy the most expensive one they have or just a very expensive one not some cheap $50 crap

∙ 11y agoNo. There are better, higher quality guns in the same price range. Azodin, tippmann and the Spyder mr series would be better.

∙ 11y agoIt would be a better investment in a tippmann or azodin, or even the Mr series of spider markers.

Would that be Sonix or Sonix Pro? The Sonix is a grade down from the Sonix Pro. If you were asking me, I would tell you to get the Sonix Pro. Trust me... I own one. It is a great gun for the money.

Most likely the striker o-ring is broken or needs to be lubricated. It could also be that the sear is work, or the mainspring could be worn. Take it to a local paintball store to have it looked at.
The brass eagle avenger is a terrible paintball gun. Brass eagle as a whole is build with some of the lowest quality parts in paintball and is notorious for completely braking down in a matter of months. Most would not recommend buying anything that is sold at walmart.
Spyder Sonix can use any Co2 or HPA tank
