Dancing such as Ballet is indeed a sport, but as a figure skater I know ice skating is nothing like ballet. It takes balance and leg strength. There are jumps where many skaters break bones, fall, and injure themselvs. You must have endurance to skate in the cold enviroment.
I'm an ice skater. Ice skating is very difficult to just simply stand on the ice, let alone do triple axels and lutzes. People have suffered cracked heads and bones while ice skating. Yes, ice skating is partly dancing and partly sport. You need the grace, and the flexibility and balance combined with endurance, strength, and will to make ice skating. Champions are only formed when they have these 4 things:
# Determination # Hard Work # Talent/Potential # Love No sport can be achieved if you don't have all 4 of these things.
ice dancing and figure skating i think
She likes tennis, dancing , singing , drama, ice skating,
yes, there is competition so it is considered a sport. also, you work your muscle's. by the way, even chess is considered a sport because it has competitions
I would say figure skating. Dancing is a form of art and figure skating is dancing in skates on ice. It's very artistic and beautiful to watch.
It is not considered an athletic sport. do you see score cards in newspapers- Roseland versus Waldorf-Astoria? On the other hand Ice Dancing, which is a sub-species of figure skating does figure in the winter Olympiads!
ice hockey and ice skating do not begin with you, but if wiki answers changed "I" to "you" then inline skating would be one, i don't know if that would be considered a sport though.
Dance may be considered both a performing art and a sport. But only competitive dance (as with the similar form of gymnastics) might be considered an actual sport. For example, figure skating is a sport which is essentially athletic dancing. Dance shares attributes with traditional sports, such as physical development, coordination, practicing, and defined rules.
