Dance may be considered both a performing art and a sport.

But only competitive dance (as with the similar form of gymnastics) might be considered an actual sport. For example, figure skating is a sport which is essentially athletic dancing. Dance shares attributes with traditional sports, such as physical development, coordination, practicing, and defined rules.

Dance is both an art and a sport. The definition of a sport is: an activity with rules or customs engaged in competitively, so only competetive dance should be considered sport. Other forms of dance are considered performance art.

Yes, dancing is a sport as it has competitions, competitors and judges its basically figure skating but not on ice all figure skating is is dancing on ice and its a sport. Therefore I conclude dancing is a competitive sport not only for women but for men too.

Yes, dance is a sport, just like gymnastics and cheer! Although some people will say it isn’t, it really is!

Yes

some may consider dance a sport, but it actually isn't! Although it gets you active, it doesn't qualify as a sport. Unless you are competing in dance competitions, then it may be a sport, but 'free-dancing' or dance lessons are more likely considered a past-time or hobby
