There is also many personal hazards involved in playing in the snow. Aside from thermal effects (ie: frost-bite, numbness, colds) the terrain would become much slipperier. If the sport involves any quick movements (which it most likely would), the participants may pull muscles, dislocate joints, or even break minor body parts. Always ensure proper grip, layers, and visibility.
