Lacking coordination in a sport is lacking the ability of control awhile moving.

Ex. A teammate passes the ball to you in soccer without coordination, the opposing teams defense can swipe the ball from you.

With coordination you can run at high speeds awhile siking the opposing team out.

Sports require physical actions that are controlled by the brain, and it is virtually impossible to concentrate on all of these actions separately. You must be able to react to what you see and hear, and your muscle groups have to work together in a controlled way.

Example : A tennis player must see the ball, and run to get into position, while at the same time handling the racket so that he can hit the ball when it arrives.

(*The play in many sports is also practiced repeatedly so that the player can have an "automatic" or "instinctive" response to a given situation.)
