Every MLB team plays 19 games against each team in their division. There are 5 teams in each division, so each team plays 76 games against teams in their own division.
It often refers to "Games Behind" or how many games a team trails the leader of a conference/division. For example, if the leading team has 10 wins and 5 losses, and the other team has 9 wins and 6 losses... the second team would be 1.0 games behind.
82 games and they play 4 games with division teams
Depends on how the rest of the division did.
Each team plays 38 games, so there are a total of 380 games in the season.
It depends on the division, in the AL east each of the five teams plays the other four in their division 18 times, for a total of 72 games. So in the AL east they play a total of 90 games outside their division. In divisions with only four teams, they play each other 20 times for a total of 60 in the division and 102 games out. When there are six teams in a division they play a total of 15 games against each of the five other team in their division, for 75 games in and 78 out of their division.
4 games against each other in its own division 3 or 4 games against each other in its own conference 2 games against each team in the other conference 41 games home and 41 games away
The team that had the better regular season record earns home field advantage in the series and is entitled to 3 home games during the five game series. The exception is if one of the teams made the playoffs as a wildcard in which case they do not get home field advantage in the division series under any circumstances. One team gets three games at home and the other team gets 2.
In any given season an nfl team plays every team in its division twice. Then the schedule of who else they play, within their conference, is on a cycle. Every year it alternates to a different division. Then the team also play one of the four divisions from the other conference. Now they have 14 games. The remaining two games are played against one team from the remaining two divisions in their conference based on schedule. And that's 16.
Teams usually play one back-to-back games with one teams from their division each season. One game is played at one of the team's homecourt, and the other game is played at the other team's.
Here's the breakdown: 6 games vs. teams in their division (6x4=24) 4 games vs. teams from other two divisions in the conference (4x10=40) 1-2 games vs. each team from the other conference (18 games against 15 teams) 24+40+18=82 Each team plays 41 home games and 41 away games each season. The best 8 teams in each conference make the playoffs. 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, etc. The winner of each conference plays each other in the Stanley Cup Final. The winner of that is the winner if the NHL that year.
It depends on the division and conference. Teams in the same division play each other more often, followed by teams in the same conference, and then they may play teams in the other conference only once or twice per year. I think they play 6 games against each team in their division and I don't think there is a set number for any other teams, but the NHL is looking to make it more consistant.
