The Bolsheviks
The Bolsheviks
In 1900, there was one Marxist political party in Russia- the "Russian Social Democratic Labor Party". In the early 1900's, the party had a split over the setup of the party. The Bolsheviks, led by Lenin, favored a small party of professional revolutionaries, and the Mensheviks, led by Martov, favored a larger party of associated activists. Eventually the Bolsheviks won out and took control, and banned the Mensheviks.
During the Russian Revolution in the early 1900's, the Mensheviks (which translated in Russian means the smaller ones or the tinier group). The Mensheviks were the rich elite of Russia and they fought against the Bolsheviks or the larger ones. The Bolsheviks were the serfs and peasants which rose up against the rich elite, similar to the earlier French Revolution. The Bolsheviks made up most of the Russian population and eventually won the civil war raging on in Russia based on their large numbers.
The counterrevolutionary "White Armies" were one after the other defeated. The Bolsheviks won the Civil War and Russia became the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics.
russia because of the bolsheviek revolution in 1917. Technically, it was the Russian Revolution in 1917, which led to the Russian Civil War, which was won by the Bolsheviks.
I think it was the communists
the leuge of nations was born, Karl marx founded communismm and russia was in a civil war between the bolsheiks and mensheviks until vladimir lenin and the Bolsheviks won, the weimar republic in Germany was failing then Hitler took over and he invaded checkoslovakya annexed austria and invaded Poland to spark the war
The "Reds" which is the Russians won the Russian Civil War.The Russian Civil War was to tear Russia apart for three years - between 1918 and 1921. The civil war occurred because after November 1917, many groups had formed that opposed Lenin's Bolsheviks. These groups included monarchists, militarists, and, for a short time, foreign nations. Collectively, they were known as the Whites while the Bolsheviks were known as the Reds. The war against the monarchy (tsar or czar) was won by a coalition of Bolsheviks and Menschiviks. A democratic government was formed, however under the leadership of Vladamir Lenin, the Bolsheviks ultimately won out.
Lenin led the Bolshevik Party which was installed into power following the October Revolution. Before the Revolution he became one of Europe's most respected Marxist theoriticians and wrote many important works. After the Revolution political prisoners were freed and soon the Constituent Assembly was convened after the Mensheviks continuously put it off. Within several months the "Whites" (Tsarists) started executing revolutionaries and instigating pogroms against Jews, they were supported by the Mensheviks and Right Social Revolutionaries, (during this time the Mensheviks and Right SRs were declared to be illegal parties) Civil War ensued and over a dozen other countries invaded Russia hoping to overthrow Lenin's government. The Bolsheviks responded with the Red Terror and Leon Trotsky built the Red Army. After the Bolsheviks won the war, they proceeded to try to build Russia economically, the New Economic Policy was a part of this. Over time the state became more bureaucratic due primarily to Russia's backwardness and isolation. Lenin fought with Trotsky against this trend and against Stalin in his rise to power but died in January 1924.
The establishment of a state capitalist dictatorship ruled by the Bolsheviks.
The disadvantage of the Bolshevik revolution was that it brought about a psychotically repressive and dictatorial government which was, under Joseph Stalin, among the very worst in all of human history. The reason why the Bolsheviks won was that the revolution took place in 1917 when Russia was still involved in WW I, and the Russian public was desperate to end Russia's involvement in that horribly destructive war, and was willing to do anything to accomplish that objective, and the Bolsheviks presented themselves as the means to do it.
