For disc Golf you only need 2 discs, a putter and a driver. you can buy them on eBay or lower quality discs at academy. (good for beginners)

you also need a midrange disc if you cannot drive all the way to the green, so make it 3

I recommend buying Discraft discs because they have a better curve to the rim than most discs and fly better in my opinion. However, I have never seen them in stores (I get mine at tournaments or online). Another option would be Wham-O discs, which have a different rim style, but are overall the same. If you don't want to actually play a game or want a really cheap disc, just get one of those small plastic ones at a dollar store.
