Usually like to have 9 players on local teams to insure the min. 6 required for various games are available.

In a local or pro tournament you have doubles (could be male and female) mixed doubles, mixed tipples, and 4 man games.

Each player has 3 darts.

The number of darts (throws) you need to finish a game depends on the skill of the player. in an ordinary 501 doubleout game the best result is a 9 darter.

There´s no limit of throws you are able to use, you just have to be faster than your opponent.
