Alledgedly it was brought back and presented to coach howard as a gift from Death Valley, CA, referencing how an oppononet's coach once referred to the Clemson stadium as Death Valley. After serving year's as nothing more than a door stop in the coach's office for years, one day he asked it to be moved. It was moved to the entrance to the stadium, and Clemson won.
