Many people believe so, but they are not bad in every way, they have a great fan base. But as to their last season, there 119M pound debt obviously had an effect, and many of their key players were sold without any replacements being brought, and because of that, there team was not good enough for the standard of the Premier League.

They are not that bad really, they had a bad season. They are in serious financial debt so they sold all their good players and didn't replace them. They are unlikely to make a return to the Premiership for a few years.

The reason certain clubs are not as good as other clubs often comes down to location, money and fan base. Any club can get better as they attract better players or even practice more.
