The FIH (Federation Internationale d'Hockey) is the worldwide governing body of Field Hockey; it is lead by an executive committee which oversees the subcommittees in charge of specific aspects, such as organisation, rules, competitions, officiating and player development. No person in particular is in charge of the whole lot, but instead each part of the game is maintained by a group of people, with another group above them to keep everything in line.
