The first international test match held at the WACA (Western Australia Cricket Association) ground was between Australia and England from the 11th to the 16th December, 1970. The end result was a draw, with the highlights being Ian Redpath's 171, and Greg Chappell scoring 108 on debut, in his first innings.

1876/77 this is the series that the bails were burnt to make the ashes but it is believed that the original ashes have been lost and were replaced with a new set
