During Eli Manning's 4 years at the University of Mississippi he had an outstanding record. However, the school did not win a national championship.
Tim Tebow won two national championships with the University of Florida in the years 2006 and 2008. He was the starting quarterback for the Gators during both championship seasons, leading the team to victories in the BCS National Championship Games.
OSU won back to back titles in 1945 and 1946.

Quinn Johnson of the Green Bay Packers is one who has all three. He earned a high school state championship in 2003 (West St. John High - Edgard, La.). His college national championship came four years later in 2007 (LSU), and this year he celebrated a superbowl victory with the Packers at Superbowl XVL.

Through the 2008 season, that was September 1, 2007 when Georgia won 35-14 in Athens. Georgia and Oklahoma State have met three times in football (1946 and 1947 being the other years) with Georgia winning all three games.
Connecticut and Butler
The University of Florida men's basketball team won the NCAA Championship in back-to-back years, first in 2006 and then again in 2007. These victories marked the Gators' first national titles in basketball.
Michigan has never won, they have only made it to the natinal championship game. Michigan State won in 1979 and 2000
Consecutive Heisman winners from the same state but different teams were 1992 Gino Torretta from Miami and 1993 Charlie Ward from Florida State. You can thank Alabama in 1992 from keeping Torretta from the national championship. Ward took Florida State to the championship in 1993 when Auburn went undefeated in the regular season but was on probation.
