A.Hand Spike or strong spike is expected to push back the blocking hands or cause the ball to go out of control after hitting the blocking hands.

B.Soft spike-the ball rolls off the hands to the body of the blockers so that faults are committed.

I've never heard of spikes being referred to as different "types", but I know from playing on my high school volleyball team that you always want to hit the ball with power and speed in order to disrupt the opponet's reaction time. But, in case of a block, you want to hit the ball softer so that it will hit the blocker's hands and roll down. Sometimes, you might even want to enlist a roll, which is an off-speed hit where the hitter thrusts the ball forward using the curve of their palm on the bottom side of the ball, creating a "roll".

in volleyball, a spike shot is a shot performed in order for the ball to travel faster and to also make it harder for opponents to defend the shot.

A spike can also be called a hit in volleyball. It is when you hit the ball over the net to the other team and score a point for it.
