my favorite injury was in the 08-09 season it was the sabres Vs. the panthers in buffalo and one player on buffalo sliced a panthers' guy's neck open

But of couse everyone has their opinions:)

Another horrific injury that involved the Buffalo Sabres was Clint Malarchuk, goalie for Buffalo. His neck was accidentally sliced by an opposing player's skate blade in a game in 1989 and he was bleeding profusely on the ice. The incident would have taken his life had it not been for the quick thinking of the team trainer Jim Pizzutelli who was able to limit the bleeding until doctors could arrive.
