i believe you are referring to the striker buffer, its job is to cushion the hammer as it returns to the back of the marker, without it the shot cycle will have more kick
edit: actually i think they are asking what the black ball in the bolt itself is for, if that is the case then the answer is to make sure your bolt pin does not come out while firing. if you look at your bolt pin there is a semi-circle groove all the way around it, that is where that ball locks in to make sure the pin does not go anywhere while it is slamming back and forth

Thy spyder agressor and alpha black have very different internal parts and are ergonomically different. While The tippmann marker is a cast aluminum, split receiver, the spyder is milled aluminum, with parts that unscrew from the back. They will both shoot 300 fps at about the same rate without modification. The spyder has no forward grip and is a centerfeed (hopper is in the center). The Alpha black is larger with a handguard.

No, autococker threads do not fit spyders,which are spyder threaded. Any barrel marked spyder threaded will fit spyders, piranhas, and most cheap spyder clones. Also many barrels come in several threads (almost all of them have the spyder version), so a list would not help you.
